About

Chris van Niekerk is a multi-award winning Mix Engineer, Producer and Composer based in Berlin, Germany. He began his career as a recording artist, gaining commercial success internationally in radio, film and TV as a band member, composer and later producer for the UK band Livingston. he developed his craft as a mix engineer / producer working with, and learning from legendary producers namely Steve Lyon, David Bottrill, Al Clay and Roland Spremberg.

Chris has worked on a wide variety of music for artists, film / TV and advertising and worked for companies like Universal Music, EMI, SPV Records, BMG, PIAS, KROD RECORDS, Walk This Way Records, Hoernsenmusic, Manta Ray Music, Napalm Records, Mercedes Benz, Rossman, Nivea and more.

Chris' passion for working with artists stems from having had a long career as a recording artist at the highest level himself. This gives him a strong insight into the creative experience from the artists point of view. Above all else he is in love with music, discovering and working with new artists, finding the uniqueness and details in their sound and the process of bringing the best out of it.
